- Manage all day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and productivity including store front organization, inventory, finances, supplies, etc.; - Responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, and performance workflow of staff; - Communicate directly with Optometrist regarding scheduling appointments, healthcare information, appointment referrals, etc.; - Manage various insurance submissions and associated accounts receivables; - Manage correspondence with Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) to ensure client/patient satisfaction; - Assist patients with finding optimal lenses customized to their prescription and lifestyle needs; - Provide superior customer service and support to all clients, including manage escalated customer concerns.
- Operate, maintain diesel, and gas engines, diesel generators, turbines, main propulsion systems, refrigeration systems, HVAC systems, electrical switchboards; - Purchase/order any machinery parts, tools, or PPE gear for crew members through DND POS systems; - Execute safety procedures and processes and directed crew members to contingency plans in case of any hazards in all engine and auxiliary areas onboard ship; - Apply troubleshooting methods and best practices when machinery issues arose; - Responsible for management of crew members with a lower rank; - Compiled daily reports on crew members, foreseeable issues, progress, and disseminated to proper individuals through chain of command.
- Provide a customer-oriented shopping experience at every step of the purchase (selection, purchases, cross-selling & refunds) to ensure customer satisfaction and establish customer loyalty; - Regularly operate POS terminals to handle payment transactions; -Met or exceeded sales targets on a consistent basis with proactive promotional strategies and reported daily sales to management; - Manage store inventory to ensure all products are available and strategically displayed with high ROI items while drawing customers attention; - Restock backroom inventory at the end of every shift to ensure a cohesive workflow for the incoming retail associates.
