Built and maintained internal development tools using Node.js and various build tools including Grunt, Gulp, and Webpack. Tools ranged from local development servers used for packaging assets and compiling code for cross-browser support and production environments to CLI tools used to transpile CSV spreadsheets into JSON. Built and maintained Javascript (ES6) site plugins. Examples include store locator which uses Google Location APIs to create a searchable map of physical store locations, and a newsletter modal which connects to various newsletter clients via REST APIs to collect user submitted emails. Last but not least, following designer specifications and acceptance criteria, built and maintained new React Components for various UI elements. Components were used alongside a custom content management system to provide a client configurable site designer.
Built new Volusion site themes, which consisted of header, footer, and navigational content constructed with HTML, CSS, and JS, along with using CSS to stylize and add responsive behavior to site content provided by a CMS, which mostly consisted of nested HTML tables. I also built new site content with HTML/CSS/JS per client specifications. Examples of content include: custom slideshows, text/image banners, collapsible accordion sections
Utilized SFTP to implement site themes built with HTML, CSS, and JS. I also spent time customizing fonts, colors, spacing, and other various design components for aforementioned themes per client specifications. Additionally, I would create new site content per client specifications (ie. Hero banners, SEO text, image galleries, slideshows, promotional text/image grids, etc)
