I am a senior at the University of Illinois at Chicago majoring in Math and Computer Science. I am looking to make connections that will help mentor me and teach me more about the industries I would like to work in. I am interested in Business Analyst and Data Analyst positions. During my time at UIC, I have worked as a Peer Tutor at the African American Academic Network and as an Office Aide for UIC Campus Housing. I was also a member of the Residence Hall Association's Executive Board and I am currently a member of the National Society of Black Engineers.
•Organized extracurricular events for community building initiative for entire student body (5000+) on campus by leading program planning, vendor selections and coordination during events, and planning logistics of the events •Led programing committee consisting of 5 members and mentored one of the members for succession •Managed ~ $30,000 budget for entire programing •Increased student engagement for events by 15% from the previous school year by facilitating event advertisement
•Supported the implementation of new software for residential management by leading the organization process of information pertaining to 100+ dorm rooms •Assisted in the planning of an orientation event for ~150 incoming students by organizing orientation material for each student
•Managed Tutoring session for 20+ students in Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Economics, Differential Equations, and Japanese •Facilitated academic success for 4 students who passed their final course required to graduate •Expanded the tutoring team by leading recruitment for an additional member
