At Google, Sam is responsible for managing 3P entertainment & sports data relationships that enhance Search and Gemini's core and AI-related features for partners and users (i.e. AI Mode, AI Overviews). He is skilled at building strategic GTM plans with Product/Engineering teams and negotiating content license agreements with key data providers that enable the launch of new experiences and products. From 2014-2018, Sam strategically managed partner sponsorship portfolios across 7 key relationships working for the NBA's Global Partnerships team. He (1) led multi-year co-branded content marketing initiatives that scaled fan/user engagement (2) drove broadcast/digital/social impressions, signups, and data collection for top brands like Gatorade, State Farm, FanDuel, ABinBev, Adidas, and Kia (3) led and supported negotiations for partnership renewal/up sell agreements that drove revenue for league operations. Building on a passion for content production and live events, from 2018 to 2020 Sam worked as a lead partnerships strategist for the Dick Clark Productions (dcp) Brand Partnerships team. He project managed multi-million dollar marketing integrations by strategically aligning with Executive Producers, Legal counterparts, Talent/Marketing/PR teams, and brand partners to ideate and execute viral content promotions around premier Award Show programming. Sam has a BA in History from Duke University ('14), and an MBA from the University of Southern California ('22).
