Part Time Work & Student Ambassadors at the University of Plymouth

Plymouth, England, United Kingdom

About

Moving into Higher Education I spent a year supporting the Careers Mentoring Programme at the University of Plymouth before transferring (within the same team) to coordinate the Student Ambassadors bank; this involves the recruitment, training and administration of a bank of 1,500+ student workers - mostly used internally to staff events such as Open Days, photoshoots, campus tours amongst others. They can also be hired externally as casual workers for events local to Plymouth and the wider area. Also running the part-time offer within the Careers Service; focusing on 1-to-1 advice appointments on job search, CV building, and general advice. I also am responsible for managing the internal vacancies page for part-time work, helping students to find many opportunities in one place. I enjoy attending networking events where possible to promote the wider offerings of the Careers Service - if you would like more information about how your business could get involved with the University, please get in touch!
