About

Any software development-related task is a huge interest for me, as it's a puzzle that needs solving.

  • Software Engineer at Palantir Technologies
    Jul 2017 - Sep 2023 · 6 yrs 3 mos

2020 - 2023 Software Engineer, Storage Infrastructure - Maintained and improved the transactional layer of our database ecosystem (AtlasDb). - Built testing framework inspired by Jepsen Elle to perform consistency validation of our transaction protocol in simulated testing environments (such as Jepsen/Antithesis) - Mentored members of the team and managed interns to assist them in building deep-tech solutions. Worth mentioning: Distributed caching that was consistent at our transactional layer. Auto-scaling Cassandra in Kubernete environments. - Loved to deep dive on various nasty bugs, such as a race condition in our paxos implementation which affected availability, and various corruption scenarios related to Cassandra (leading to resiliency checks being built out on the critical path [reads]). - Contributed to open-source community as often as possible: Built MinIO java library for administration, and added custom auth-n/z workflows to Strimizi (K8s operator for Kafka). - Sourced, managed, and developed numerous Kubernetes operators. - Built management tools for Cassandra services to scale our ops team, which worked on both legacy/modern infrastructure. - Interviewed many candidates for the storage group to help identify candidates who are a strong fit for our org. 2017-2020 Technical Lead, Business Development - Built custom tooling and procedures for data permissioning to ensure legal compliance of regional data with minimal end-user friction. - Developed a use-case from it's infancy to increase efficiency of manufacturing by highlighting areas of most mistakes (i.e. requiring additional intervention). - Partnered closely with internal/external IT to provide insights to the functionality of our platform, and providing various training sessions to upskill them as needed. - Developed new use-case in cyber security which took an ontology based approach to assist in advanced persistent threat investigations.

  • Software Engineering Intern at CA Technologies
    Oct 2015 - Apr 2017 · 1 yr 7 mos

    * Assisted with performance-scale testing to help identify bugs before major releases to increase product quality * Assisted senior engineers during large client escalations by writing tools to help debug large-scale environments * Developed a Groovy-based library which leveraged Runtime Metaprogramming to interact with the core product to expedite the development of automated tests and scripts * Wrote an AngularJS webpage to interface with a Sinatra (ruby) backend to build test environments on demand

  • Software Engineering Intern at Bounce Software
