I’m a Senior Project Manager with over 15 years of experience in both conventional and renewable power generation, specializing in gas turbine–based plants (OCGT, CCGT, CHP) and Concentrated Solar Power (CSP). My career has spanned the full lifecycle of power projects — from R&D and conceptual design to execution and operations — with a strong focus on technical excellence, efficiency, and performance optimization. After earning my Master’s in Mechanical Engineering in 2009, I began my career at ENGIE Lab, where I developed expertise in numerical simulation (CFD) and gas turbine operation. In 2013, I became a GT Combustion Expert, providing technical support to numerous power plants to improve flexibility and efficiency. Since joining TRACTEBEL-ENGIE, I’ve led multidisciplinary teams on complex international projects, including a 100 MW CSP plant in South Africa, a 320 MW OCGT project, and an 885 MW CCGT plant in Belgium. I’ve also contributed to hydrogen project development within ENGIE’s H₂ division, supporting design and architecture activities with deep thermodynamic and process modeling expertise. My passion lies in bridging technical and project management domains — driving innovative, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions from concept to operation
- Leading mechanical and EPC activities for major energy infrastructure projects. - Managing power train package of an 885 MW CCGT plant from procurement to commissioning. - Coordinating internal and external stakeholders to ensure project delivery on time, within budget, and to safety and quality standards. - Supporting the development of renewable energy projects in line with ENGIE’s sustainability goals.
Technical Contract Manager of the Power Train lot for the new 885 MW CCGT plant under construction in Belgium. Responsible for the development, design and execution of the contract with SIEMENS for delivery of one SGT9-8000HL, one ST and two (2) GENERATORS. Preparation of contracts for powertrain construction services and commissioning.
Hydrogen Architect and Designer at ENGIE Business Unit HYDROGEN (BU H2). The role consisted of: 1- Defining and refining the whole system architecture as well as the main technical/economics metrics (Levelized Cost of Hydrogen, …) specifically to support Business Development during the inception & pre-feasibility phases of a project. 2- Investigate system design and find technology opportunities to feed strategic system roadmaps 3-Support the BU H2 towards qualitative tools and methods for project modeling and costing, leveraging on the other BUs
Lead Mechanical Engineer for the KATHU SOLAR PARK CSP project, located at Kathu in Northern Cape, South Africa for the Owner’s Engineer team. KSP is a Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plant of 100MWe, using parabolic trough technology and 4.5 hours capacity molten salts thermal storage, overhead line and substation for grid connection. I am responsible for the follow up of the mechanical construction activities of the EPC Contractor supervising the personnel in the mechanical team of OE. My function include as main tasks: - Management and follow-up of the plant design (mechanical discipline); - Supervision of HSE rules and prevention of dangerous situations or incidents; - Inspecting the contractor’s execution activities, verifying compliance with execution drawings and documents (erection methodology etc.), ensure conformity with technical and contractual specifications and technical documentation; - Analyzing and approval of erection procedures proposed by EPC contractor; - Verifying and monitoring of QA/QC requirements and the execution of the Site Quality Control Plan - Ensuring compliance of the EPC Contractor with the quality and quantity requirements (including deadlines) under their respective Contracts; - Management of the tech. interfaces between EPC Contractor and Owner’s third Parties; - Holding weekly meetings with the Contractors: progress, problems, interfaces, etc.; - Liaise with the Client site team on technical matters; - Drafting work orders and site orders, issuing notes on the execution and shortcomings, and checking the progress reports prepared by the Contractors; - Assist the project manager in the management of variation orders and claims between the Owner and the EPC Contractor; - Follow-up the punch list items for the whole plant; - Issue the necessary reporting related to the status of mechanical activities.
