Salih works as Investigations Lead and Compliance Assurance Partner at AstraZeneca, as a member of the MEA Compliance Team and Turkey Leadership Team. He is responsible with leading compliance investigations within MEA region and also acts as the Compliance Assurance Partner for Turkey, in charge of performing monitoring activities on various specialization areas. He has vast amount of experience in the areas of ethics & compliance, fraud prevention and corporate investigations, and anti-bribery & corruption assessments as well as advising business stakeholders on establishing compliance programs and fraud risk mitigation plans. Previously, Salih was a Manager with PwC's Advisory Forensic Services practice where he helped clients and organizations to prevent and detect economic crimes with sensitive investigations, ethics and compliance related engagements with a focus on anti-bribery and corruption and third party risk management, disputes and crisis management. He is a Certified Public Accountant (Turkish CPA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). He is an active member of Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and Turkish Ethics & Reputation Society (TEID). He is also part of the voluntary mentorship program designed by Bilkent University Faculty of Business Administration Alumni Association.
-Performing objective review of business activities as second line of defense function. -Delivering global and local assurance monitoring activities on various business areas/activities. -Handling and management of the internal ethics and compliance investigations among MEA region. -Detecting the gaps and control weaknesses within the internal control mechanism and responding to those with compliance-driven decision making processes and remediation plans. -Collaborating with Compliance Business Partners and other relevant business stakeholder to continuously assessing the enduring and emerging risks.
