Food Technologist with hands-on experience in R&D product development, formulation optimization, sensory science, and food manufacturing operations. I hold a Master’s degree in Food Science and have worked across R&D labs, pilot plants, and manufacturing environments, supporting products from formulation to scale up At Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, I supported analytical testing and process optimization across 200+ chocolate coating samples, conducting rheological testing using Anton Paar Rheolab QC and translating data into formulation and processing recommendations to support cost-optimization and reformulation projects. My graduate research focused on developing protein-enriched pizza sauces for American consumers, emphasizing ingredient functionality, texture optimization, physicochemical testing, sensory evaluation, and statistical analysis. My experience combines formulation science, sensory insight, and manufacturing exposure to support consumer-driven, scalable food innovation. Core strengths include: Formulation, R&D product development, Sensory science, Rheological testing, SOP and specification documentation, and GMP, FSMA, and HACCP compliance (PCQI certified). I am passionate about leveraging my scientific background to drive innovation and foster collaboration in the food science industry. Open to full-time opportunities across the United States in R&D, Product Development, Food Science, Food Technology, and Quality Assurance.
• Analyzed the rheology of 200+ Chocolate Coatings on Anton Paar using Rheolab QC software • Established specification standards for Milk, Dark, and White chocolate coatings based on rheological parameters • Supported QA in rheological testing for chocolate coatings at the factory gate and verified alignment within established standards • Worked with procurement, production, and vendors to source high-quality ingredients. • Standardized coating sample procurement procedures across departments from vendors and Dreyer’s facilities across the USA • Executed bench-scale formulation and support scale-up activities for assigned projects and presented marketing for sensory testing. • Supported team projects by analyzing process and equipment capabilities. • Prepared samples for sensory tastings, adherence to purchasing specifications, and determining future steps. • Supported in factory trials by collecting and analyzing real-time data on cone weights, coating thickness, and topping distribution, ensuring quality and process efficiency • Created and updated CRQS documents across multiple ice cream formats, enhancing documentation accuracy • Revised manufacturing dossiers and recipe formulations for Drumstick cones using PDM software • Formulated about 500+ samples to support factory-wide sensory training sessions • Adhered to GLP and GMP during sample analysis to ensure compliance. • Troubleshot and coordinated technical problems with the Rheometer with the collaboration of IT and external technical support teams
• Performed microbial inoculation on 100+ peaches to support pathogen resistance studies for Ph.D. research.
• Implemented comprehensive knowledge of FSMA, HACCP, and GMP standards • Develop SOPs in conjunction with quality and operations to ensure that the product consistently meets specifications • Assists in writing or modifying procedures related to the HACCP prerequisite programs to support food safety compliance • Assists by reviewing, updating, documenting compliance, and training the plant
• Inventory management of raw materials and finished products & efficient restocking as necessary • Streamlined customer orders and pickups, meticulously adhering to the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method • Assist in processing, packaging, & labeling of Ice cream (500+ lbs), & Ice cream sandwiches • Regularly lift 40+lbs of milk cans during ice cream production, cleaning, and ice-mix filling • Assist with pre-operational inspection of production plant and equipment and completion of related documentation • Supported team by cutting, vacuum packing, and labeling cheese • Monitoring production processes to ensure adherence to GMP • Verifying that products meet specifications and regulatory requirements • Support and assist in the investigation of non-conformances in production, and packaging and determine the root cause • Performs ATP and microbiological sampling for the established environmental program • Report non-conformances to the Creamery manager and discuss corrective actions • Performed cleaning-in-place (CIP) procedures and acidity assessment of water samples • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives in the production process • Support external audits/inspections/customer order pickups
