Nikolaos Sakellariou is a Geologist, PhD from the University of Athens and holder of a Master's Degree specializing in Seismology. He has taken part in several research projects, the most important being the participation in the research project "SEISMOPOLIS - Pilot System for Familiarization and Information of the Public on Earthquakes", as well as the participation in the research projects: "Greco-Risks, Hellenic Natural Hazards Risk Management System of Systems", "Strengthening of research infrastructures and prevention of seismic disasters", "Development of knowledge networks for dealing with the risks of seismic disasters" and "Actions to inform the personnel of civil protection services and citizens". Also, he has experience in field research as well as in familiarizing the public with Seismic Risk issues, having participated in a number of research activities related to the subject of Seismology. Finally, he holds a Lower Diploma from the University of Cambridge and is proficient in Microsoft Office, Surfer, GMT, ArcGis, QGIS and MATLAB programs.

    I was a part of building materials production in a factory, in Tripolis region. This kind of partnership was in the frame of internships, of NKUA. It lasted for two months and it was a full time job. I had the opportunity to watch the whole procedure of the material production and of course take information about its uses.
