Singapore
I am currently an Assistant Director at the Singapore Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), where I focus on trade diplomacy and economic strategy within the Americas and Central Asia Division. In this role, I advance Singapore’s economic interests in Latin America, specifically in Brazil, MERCOSUR, and Costa Rica, and support the Ministry’s engagements in multilateral platforms such as the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP). A Political Science graduate from the National University of Singapore, I also previously led Southeast Asian regional initiatives as Head of Programmes for The Young SEAkers.
Connecting Singapore with Latin America – one partnership at a time. I support the Ministry’s efforts to strengthen ties with markets like Brazil and Costa Rica, exploring opportunities in areas ranging from innovation and digital trade to sustainability and green growth. It’s all about building bridges, finding synergies, and turning conversations into real-world collaboration. Alongside my Latin America portfolio, I’m part of the CPTPP policy team and work on Singapore’s economic engagement with the US. This includes tracking regional trade developments, supporting negotiations, and shaping strategies to strengthen Singapore’s position in key trade frameworks. I work closely with partners across government and industry to turn policy into impact – whether it’s navigating new rules, identifying market access opportunities, or advancing the Ministry’s long-term economic interests.

It also builds long-term capabilities for the public sector, and promotes adoption and participation from the public and industry, to take a collective approach in building a Smart Nation. Under the the Policy and Governance Directorate (PGD), I worked on the trust, safety and inclusion (TSI) workstream to formulate the Government’s approach to proactively manage these issues, together with the team, to engender public trust in how entities, including the Government, use digital technology. This includes forming solutions on how the Government can ensure that the use of technology is safe and inclusive.

Administered with planning out a shift system and organizing manpower based on requirement needs, such as high alert periods and so workload was distributed fairly among all analysts, maintaining an overall satisfaction among analysts. Helped in developing and managing a case management system, ensuring effective storage and access of various cases resulting in much smoother overall workflow and more efficient response time among the National Servicemen as well as the Officers. Headed a team in creating several Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), key to making sure any incoming staff or analysts would be able to easily pick up and comprehend various systems present, drastically reducing training period from 3 months to 5 weeks.
