As a Research Project Coordinator, I am working on a Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF) funded project in collaboration with Trinity Winchester, to pilot and validate a data framework for evidence generation. This project builds on the ongoing Accelerated Knowledge Transfer Partnership (AKTP) between CHRP and OutcomeHome, piloting a scalable, evidence based data framework that enables service providers to collect, analyse, and report their impact to funders and commissioners. Key Responsibilities: • Conducting secondary data analysis of Trinity Winchester's administrative service records to identify patterns in service usage, presenting needs, and outcomes across, mental health, housing, substance use, wellbeing, and domestic violence • Adapting the AKTP data framework for real world application within Trinity Winchester's service model, using R for statistical analysis and data cleaning • Designing and developing a validated data collection toolkit for frontline staff, including guidance documents, templates, and reporting frameworks • Coordinating stakeholder engagement with Trinity Winchester's frontline staff and leadership team to co-design the framework and ensure practical usability • Supporting ethics applications (ERGO II, University of Southampton) and ensuring compliance with GDPR and data governance requirements through a formal Data-Sharing Agreement • Contributing to dissemination activities through the HCoP, a network of 430+ practitioners, researchers, and policymakers Key Deliverables: • Validated data framework and analytical toolkit for Trinity Winchester • Final project report submitted to FELS/HEIF • Dissemination event and resources shared with HCoP and wider sector
As a Senior Research Assistant, I am working on Accelerated Knowledge Transfer Partnership (AKTP) funded by Innovate UK to develop an evidence-based data collection toolkit for substance misuse services across the UK. Key responsibilities: • Conducting systematic literature reviews of national data frameworks and sector-standard outcome measurement tools. • Analyzing data collection practices across UK organizations to identify common categories and implementation approaches • Supporting pilot testing and gathering feedback from frontline staff and commissioners • Preparing comprehensive reports, presentations, and practical resources • Contributing to sector dissemination activities including workshops and webinars
As a Senior Research Assistant, I am working on mixed-methods research evaluation of the Care+Her initiative, a Burdett Trust-funded project focused on clinical action in research for equity in vulnerably women's health in Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole. Supporting participatory action research methodology to assess nurse-led, trauma-informed healthcare approaches for 200 women facing severe health inequalities, including those with complex trauma and histories of sex work or long-term homelessness. Key responsibilities: • Performing comprehensive data collection through case studies, surveys, and interviews to evaluate healthcare delivery in sexual and menstrual health, preconception care, and preventative screenings • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across University of Southampton's Centre for Homelessness Research and Practice (CHRP) and HealthBus Trust to develop best-practice frameworks for inclusive, nurse-led care • Contributing to the development of trauma-informed training programs for nurses and healthcare leaders • Ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and data protection regulations throughout the research process
As a Senior Research Assistant, I contribute to the impact evaluation of the RESTART Thames Valley initiative, a collaboration between the OutcomeHome, Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner (OPCC), and the University of Southampton. This project aims to reduce reoffending rates and improve outcomes for prisoners released in the Thames Valley region. Key Responsibilities: • Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to assess programme effectiveness. • Engage with stakeholders, including prison leavers and caseworkers, through interviews and focus groups. • Support the research team in evaluating programme benefits related to accommodation, employment, and overall well-being. • Contribute to comprehensive evaluation reports, including cost-benefit analyses using Social Value metrics.
Worked as a part-time Research Assistant under the supervision of Dr. Narinder Kapur and Dr. Steven Kemp on a project investigating Post-Traumatic Amnesia (PTA) and the validity of Symptom Validity Tests (SVTs) and Performance Validity Tests (PVTs) using clinical patient data. This project aimed to enhance our understanding of PTA and improve the assessment of cognitive functioning in traumatic brain injury patients.
