I am a software engineer with over 5 years of experience specializing in building and designing scalable backend systems. My career has been focused on delivering reliable, high-performance platforms within the demanding fintech, banking, and logistics domains. I'm passionate about solving complex engineering problems at scale. I thrive on architecting distributed services , optimizing data pipelines, and designing microservices that create real-world impact. My goal is always to improve reliability and scalability. Beyond my work in financial technology, I am always learning and am currently expanding my knowledge in cloud platforms and artificial intelligence. When I'm not coding, I'm a passionate sports enthusiast and a musician who loves playing both the piano and the flute.
My work is about protecting the firm's financial stability. I'm one of the engineers for our critical liquidity risk platforms, which means I dive deep into regulatory models to find and fix logic flaws. My goal is to ensure our systems are always accurate and compliant. I also help re-architect our risk data pipelines, hunting for bottlenecks and debugging integrations to make sure our data is fast, reliable, and trustworthy.
Alongside my Master's, I took on a TA position to help guide some brilliant minds at RPI. I mentored over 200 students in foundational courses like Computer Architecture, Human Computer Interaction and web design. My goal was to bridge the gap between theory and practice, which I did by leading interactive labs, code reviews, and debugging workshops.
I was part of a team helping a major U.S. bank modernize its core payment systems. I led the design for a new wire payments processor, which was a complex project that had to handle everything from fraud scoring to card integrations. The new system I helped build made their whole platform far more resilient. I also built their new reconciliation pipelines, which finally gave them a fast and consistent way to settle their ledgers.
My focus at FIS was making payment systems safer and more reliable. I engineered a new fraud detection system using Kafka that allowed our team to catch and stop fraudulent transactions in real-time, which was a huge win. I also took ownership of the merchant-facing Billing Admin Portal, where I re-engineered the backend to make it fast and responsive for our users. I was also one of the go-to engineers for solving critical, high-pressure bugs in our POS systems.
