Key Responsibilities: • Regional Point of Contact: Serve as the primary liaison for DPR Construction across the Northwest, Southwest, and Central regions of the USA, handling pursuit modeling, visual planning, and production tracking requests. • Strategic Partnership & Growth: Engaging directly with stakeholders through on-site visits in the USA to develop business strategies that drive new project opportunities and ensure alignment with annual revenue goals. • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a 10+ member team specializing in: o Revit (Architecture, Structure, and Logistics Modeling) o Synchro 4D Pro (4D Modeling & Animations) o Power BI (Progress Tracking & Reporting) • Technology Integration: Collaborate with industry leaders like Bentley Systems (Synchro 4D Pro & UE), Doxel, and Buildots to integrate cutting-edge progress tracking technologies with 4D planning workflows. • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with DPR regional teams, ensuring open collaboration, quick feedback resolution, and rebuilding trust when needed. • International Representation: Represent vConstruct at DPR’s planning workshops in the U.S., strengthening partnerships and driving cross-regional collaboration.
I serve as the regional point of contact for the Southern half of the US, overseeing all 4D/5D modeling requests. In this capacity, my responsibilities include: • Cultivating strong client relationships throughout the region by effectively pitching 4D modeling services, helping clients recognize the value-added benefits, and tailoring solutions to meet their project needs. • Managing multiple 4D modeling projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables. • Providing training to team members on the latest workflows and technologies in the field of 4D modeling, collaborating with industry peers to develop innovative solutions. • Devoting significant time to solution engineering and innovation, focusing on making the 4D modeling process more efficient, automated, and scalable. Some initiatives I have spearheaded include: - Developing an in-house Power BI model viewer to embed 3D viewer functionality into production planning and tracking reports. - Establishing dataflows using Bentley API to access the latest Synchro data on demand. • Participating in leadership calls to align teams, workflows, and services with the organization's vision. My role requires a blend of technical expertise, client relationship management, and innovation to drive the success of our 4D modeling initiatives in the region.
During this role, I've learned- 1. Coordination: It involves interacting with the VDC project teams across multiple regions of the US for different types of 4D/5D modeling requests. 2. Innovation: Setting up Power BI dashboard using different combinations of Synchro, Primavera, Assemble, and 3D model viewer data for production planning and tracking. 3. Planning: Helping in building a napkin sketch of the logistics plan and construction sequence, and then incorporating all of it into 4D models and animations. 4. Leading & Training: Setting up best practices for the Synchro 4D pro workflow and training team members for the same. 5. Research and Development: Exploring the latest rendering options for Synchro animations - Iray, LumenRT, iTwin, Unreal Engine. 6. Collaboration: Closely working with the on-site team to identify the use cases of 4D/5D models and how can they make better use of them for their daily construction/planning tasks. 7. Automation: Working on Dynamo scripts, Synchro scripts, Synchro PBI connector, Assemble connector, and 3D model viewer for automating the 4D model setup and also to set up the production tracking dashboards which can automatically update and can give the latest information to the team whenever they need it.
1. Software Testing: Conduct thorough testing of the construction management software to identify and report any bugs, defects, or issues. This includes functional testing to ensure the software meets specifications. 2. Defect Reporting: Document and report any defects or issues found during testing using a defect tracking system. Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to resolve these issues. 3. Regression Testing: Continuously perform regression testing to ensure that new software updates or changes do not introduce new defects or negatively impact existing functionality. 4. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of testing activities, including test plans, test cases, test results, and defect reports. 5. Communication: Collaborate with development teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to provide regular updates on testing progress and any critical issues that need attention. 6. Training and Support: Provide guidance and support to other team members and end-users in using the software effectively.
