Led the platform team in MTV as a Tech Lead Manager, playing a hybrid role as tech lead, manager, and individual contributor during the company’s early growth stage through Series A and Series B. Served as tech lead for multiple core platforms and products—including Identity, Access Control, Notifications, Ticketing, and Approvals—powering enterprise assistant and communications offerings. Contributed directly to platform design, coding, and operating systems in production while leading a team of 10+ engineers. Worked closely with founders and the CTO to define the initial platform org structure and shape the first generation of tech leads. Hired and mentored engineers across teams and levels, enabling many to scale their impact, and supported growth of the engineering org to 50+ engineers in MTV as the company grew from ~30 to 100+ employees.
Designed and built Indiegogo’s data infrastructure and real-time analytics platform, enabling product, marketing, finance, and sales teams to move from batch reporting to near real-time insights. Led data warehouse design and A/B testing infrastructure, delivered user-facing product insights, and introduced data engineering best practices across the organization. Built and operated distributed systems at scale using Ruby and cloud-native technologies including Cassandra, S3, Redshift, Elasticsearch, Redis, Lambda, and Kinesis.
