As a senior consultant in the consulting practice, I look after the Identity management needs for several clients. Responsibilities included: Bid management, Solutioning large and complex deals (Security, Active Directory, Identity and Access Management and Cloud), Cloud Adoption and Identity management for crucial accounts . Delivered projects with varied technologies including Active Directory, Forefront Identity Manager 2010 R2, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS and ADFS proxy) and Single Sign-On to various cloud providers like Amazon (AWS), dimension Data and Office 365. Undertook FIM upgrade projects, refreshing provisioning code to meet new business challenges, providing highly available SSO solutions. Worked with a large Healthcare provider to migrate their entire datacenter to NTT Cloud. Led the project and coordinated with cloud team to create features that were required and troubleshooted code with the developers. Presented project report to the business leadership team weekly. Authored powershell scripts to automate entire process, including orchestrating DoubleTake, performing server Audit, QA and reporting.
Visionstream is the telecom arm of Leighton Group. Due to increased business activity on account of major projects, it required the services of an experienced infrastructure specialist who could manage multi-million telecom projects. In my role as the Infrastructure lead, I was responsible for providing IS support to large telecommunication projects like NBN and Optus LTE. Working with the business, I was responsible for • Resource forecasting and allocation • Vendor engagement • Business Communication planning • Site rollouts and new office setups • Equipment procurement, configuration and distribution • Budget management
Newcrest Mining Ltd is one of the world’s top five gold mining companies. I was initially engaged in 2012 to deliver the identity management component of an infrastructure modernisation project, and to assist in determining the overall project scope and desired outcomes. As the Identity Architect, my role was to: • Build a business case for identity management and create a roadmap • Gather requirements from business stakeholders and establish delivery outcomes • Design and build modern test labs hosted on Amazon (AWS) for AD / Exchange / FIM. The solution manages the identities for Active Directory (AD), Exchange, Lync (incl. telephony), File Shares, SharePoint and a range of other third party products, and performs user provisioning, de-provisioning, SSPR, group management and custom rules for each site. Being a UC expert helped me streamline the provisioning and de-provisioning process for Exchange and Lync accounts which then made it possible to automate them using FIM and PowerShell. In addition to my role as an Identity Architect, I have also played a key role on other Newcrest projects, including: • Exchange 2003 to 2010 migration • Active Directory 2003 to 2008 R2 migration • Desktop SOE – Win XP to Win 7 • Lync and Enterprise Voice (upgrading from OCS) • On-Premise to o365 – Evaluating Office 365 as a business productivity tool
Worked on the major account - BHP as the Microsoft Architect. Led the Active Directory hardware and OS refresh program, refreshing the entire fleet with new hardware and a Windows Server 2008 based OS. Managed a large team of Senior designers, consultants and engineers during the project, including vendors and project sponsor. Implement an AD-LDS Directory solution using FIM for the CISCO VOIP Solution. This connected to multiple AD domains, Custom created SQL DB for managing call plans, FIM Portal for codeless provisioning and multiple LDS instances. As per BHP's requirements, solution had redundancy for every component, including custom scripted failover for FIM Sync engine. Project highlights included implementation of: • 4 inbound directories (3 AD domains, 1 SQL DB) • 3 outbound directories (FIM, SQL, LDS) • FIM service (2 instances, load balanced) • WSS (2 instances, stand-alone, load balanced) • FIM sync (1 active, 1 stand-by) • LDS (2 instances, load balanced) • Disaster recovery • Codeless provisioning • ADFS for Single Sign-On Other responsibilities included Messaging architect for the Exchange 2007 and OCS R2 and 4th Level support for both. I was involved in leading all PIRs in this space.
