Project Manager, Client Lifecycle Management
As a program manager working on compliance, I was responsible for executing projects that helped Stripe's licensing efforts (Payment service provider license) with the local regulators in the APAC region with particular focus on Singapore and India. My role was to work cross functionally between engineering, product management, compliance, legal and financial crimes teams to execute these projects end to end from requirements gathering to end user experience management.
• Product Owner/Business Analyst for Individual Client Due Diligence (ICDD) Project impacting 23,000 Retail Bank employees globally across 28 countries. This Project encompasses technological, process, procedural and target operating model changes related to onboarding new clients and risk based periodic reviews of existing clients. My role is to understand global and local regulatory requirements and convert them into systematic solutions to be rolled out into each market; • Manage the product backlog so that regulatory requirements are being met, with positive impacts to processes and turn-around time for CDD; • Delivered end to end CDD solution to nine countries including Malaysia (Pilot), Singapore, UAE, India, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Zimbabwe and Nigeria. This delivery included extensive on site and virtual engagement as well as a high support / transition to BAU period; • Provided key technical and functional solutions to several complex CDD requirements in each of the markets; • Redesigned the ICDD solution by reducing number of data elements collected from 34 to 20, reduced testing effort involved, by interfacing with global risk scoring engine used across other segments in the bank
My responsibilities in the Project Manager role were the following - • Document and agree SOW with clients • Prepare and maintain project plan for the project lifecycle from kick off till go-live and post-production support handover • Resource scheduling • Conduct regular project status meetings to understand issues /potential issues and their statuses • Tracking and resolution of issues to closure • Team leader for Actimize global talent center for APAC region • Budgeting for resources and travel • Handling of invoicing for clients • Provide functional and technical mentoring/training to new resources • Occasional documentation of functional specifications and requirements. • Meeting customers requirements with innovative solutions • Assist sales and pre-sales team during the sales cycle for new projects in the APAC region
As Technical lead for the APAC region in Actimize, my key responsibilities were to mentor newer implementers, provide technical support and training to them and also to design and make decisions on technical implementations at all on going projects in the region. I was also performing hands on implementation work and technical issue resolution in this role.
I have been actively involved full time doing implementation work for projects all over APAC ever since joining NICE Actimize in 2010. As a result I have significant exposure and good experience working with clients from all over APAC from Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Sydney. I have travelled extensively over APAC for implementation and to provide training for clients and have been enjoying this nature of work.
