Technology, entrepreneurship, and determination - sums up the environment I like to work in. I left a transportation and trucking law career to explore the world of SaaS, technology and startups. Since that time I've had the opportunity to be involved in so many great things at leading edge SaaS/technology startups, including B2Gnow, Openforce, OpenDock / Appointment-Plus, Hyland, Lawlogix, and Axosoft.
B2Gnow is the national leader in public infrastructure project compliance software. B2Gnow helps states, counties, cities, other governmental entities (airports, transit authorities, etc), universities, school districts, and private companies manage compliance with the complex world of supplier diversity, disadvantaged business regulations, Davis-Bacon prevailing wage, and grant management. Private equity owned by Polaris Partners, B2Gnow is quickly growing its market leadership position.
(Acquired by Daysmart) Returned to my first software home, AppointmentPlus and its subsidiary Opendock (www.opendock.com - dock scheduling / transportation management), to help lead the company through transition and acquisition. During tenure, led company through their best-ever sales production quarter and helped successfully navigate sales cycles with two of the company's largest customer acquisitions. Led development of strategic plan to prepare business for smooth M&A transition.
Led Openforce - the industry leader in technology solutions and services for onboarding, compliance, management, settlement, and insurance/risk (insuretech) mitigation programs for independent contractor and gig workforces. Openforce has a great team and product that services virtually any organization that utilizes 1099 or gig workforces, with a focus in transportation (last mile, trucking), home healthcare, and field services. Openforce helps companies navigate the complexities of the insurance coverages for gig workers, independent contractor regulatory requirements, and the related compliance landscape.
Led the LawLogix division of Hyland Software, Inc, a leading ECM technology provider with over 3,000 employees in 10 countries. Responsible for the LawLogix division and all departments, including P&L and revenue generating activities. Directly led the sales, marketing, channels, training and account management teams. A great team with a passion for delivery of best in class electronic I-9 and immigration case management SaaS products and services.
