Recently started young entrepeneur co-founding HeatLift Dynamics, a startup developing innovation for industrial heat pumps to dramatically increase efficiency. As COO I take care of day-to-day running, and craft our business strategy. Always looking to challenge our assumptions, learn from others, and navigate the entrepeneurial journey! As a student primarily interested in security, defence, military operations, and foreign policy. Parallel to my Master programme I enjoy perusing (military) history, military- and intelligence reports on current conflicts, or articles from military journals. In a recently closed chapter passionate about board administration. Have had the pleasure and honour to serve in 6 cumulative board- and committee years in (student) organisations. My forte lies in identifying and addressing problems in processes and improving them to drive professionalism and output in organisations. Formulating strategy and goals is key to this. Conducive to this for me is being considerate and listening to one's teammates, and asking questions to learn from them. Thus the team can tackle those discussions necessary for growth. Delivering results thanks to good team work is greatly satisfying!
HeatLift Dynamics is a Delft-based startup developing a novel thermodynamic expansion process for industrial heat pumps. Our Multiphase Pressure Exchanger is a horizontally scalable device, feasible for new and existing 100kW+ installations that boosts capacity (COP) by circa 20%. Seeking to supply our innovation as an enhancement for industrial heat pump manufacturers, we strive to contribute to the energy transition in order to achieve a less wasteful, cleaner, and more sustainable world.
Responsible for drafting and safeguarding the €20,000+ TDP budget, overseeing financial direction of our events and collaborations. Supervising a junior treasurer and managing 10+ projects. Helped PPLE students realise their ideas for a student initiative or event, by providing them with the necessary funding when grit and smarts could only get them so far.
Student Political Party at the University of Amsterdam participating in Student Council Elections at the Faculty and Central level. Champions student welfare, sustainability, diversity, quality of education, and transparency & democracy. During tenure achieved 50% increase of Party Bank balance year-over-year, 2700% increase in membership contributions, implemented a bookkeeping system. Acquired slick merchandise. Earned first external funding for events. Student Council representative recruitment enhanced with a Mediating Assessment Protocol, based on the book "Noise – a flaw in human judgement".
Together with David van Bergem continued an earlier succesful school project to build a technology demonstrator RC robot to show Ampelmann could pursue developing offshore inspection robots that worked in conjunction with their motion compensating gangways.
