"Island Queerness" is a docu-series and online project exploring the Taiwanese LGBT+ community and the progress of queer rights on the island. • planned and was awarded a research grant to spend two weeks studying the Taiwanese LGBT+ community • researched topic and local sociopolitical climate and reached out to numerous activist groups to establish contacts • coordinated the budgeting of the grant including booking accommodations and tracking receipts for all purchases • led most correspondence, scheduled 18 interviews (including that of a Legislator) and planned the way they would be conducted, including their recording • composed several comprehensive questionnaires, consent forms and confidentiality agreements • collected all research materials to prepare for translation and subsequent analysis • conducted all efforts to recruit volunteer translators
