In January 2013 I received my designation as a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) by the International Economic Development Council, and I am a graduate of the South Carolina Economic Developers' School. . My work focus has mainly revolved around business retention and expansion, project management, and program development and administration. I currently oversee the City of Columbia's "Business in Motion" and "Business Spotlight" programs and assist developers with local, high priority projects.
Serve as the primary point of contact between the business community and City departments to assist with project management, relocation, and expansion projects. Identify and recommend policy and process improvements that will streamline regulatory approvals and improve the customer experience. Improve the flow of communication between the City and business community.

I am the program administrator for our Business Retention and Expansion Program. My duties primarily include business visitations, outreach management, and data analysis among other things. I am also responsible for GIS mapping for my department and will be responsible for content management on the Commerce and Development Departments' websites upon completion of its update.
