I have taught two courses in the Department of Appalachian Studies: Intro to Appalachian Studies American Roots Music
Develops and teaches archival instruction for students and researchers. Functions as Outreach coordinator for events and programming. Oversees use and permissions requests for archival materials. Coordinates reference for reading room utilizing staff, archivists, graduate assistants, and student workers. Maintains and operates social media for the Archives of Appalachia. Digitizes audio and video for patron requests and newly added, multi-format collections.
As program coordinator, I am responsible for selecting and hiring online instructors to teach the classes that comprise the Appalachian Studies minor. These classes are mainly taught to adult learners in the Graduate and Professional Studies program at King University. I also schedule when the course will be taught throughout the semester and who will be teaching those course. I also teach face-to-face Appalachian Studies courses throughout the year.
As Regional Site Director, I coordinate with the Chief Academic Officer, school deans, and program coordinators to serve as liaison to King faculty teaching at assigned instructional locations. I also coordinate with Associate Vice-President of Enrollment Management and the Director of Academic Success to ensure quality operations and processes for faculty and staff. Conduct regularly scheduled visits to assigned instructional locations for monitoring operations and processes and responding to the needs of faculty and staff. Communicate and meet regularly with the CAO to update on the operations and processes as well as delivery of quality academic programs at the assigned instructional locations.
Develops and conducts class instruction sessions and student orientations for the Graduate and Professional Studies Program located at satellite sites as well as the main campus, King College. Responsible for collection development and serves as the collection development liaison for the Business, Nursing, and Performing Arts Departments, respectively. Performs reference duties and assists students with research queries and field of study needs.

Assessed unprocessed, 400 ft. title and loan collection for potential de-accessioning, conservation treatment, and processing. Consulted with UT preservationist, county and state archives to facilitate de-accessioning assessment. Collaborated with staff and faculty concerning development of digital projects for UT institutional repository, TRACE and Digital Library Initiatives.
