One of the founding members of the Trinity AMR action group
I was honoured to have lead the AMR action group for two years, increasing the reach of our society, and was delighted to have been personally invited to attend the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) meeting in Westminster focusing on AMR in the context of War and education in our medical schools.
Events Officer and Committee member- responsible for organising talks and events to raise awareness on AMR
I was elected the Vice President of CUPRAS, helping to further the society with running teaching sessions, connecting students to surgeons and increasing awareness of all aspects of the specialty. I also organised and chaired our second annual conference showcasing plastic surgery to our members.
I spent a week making a prosection, allowing me to refine my prosecting technique and to expand my knowledge of the anatomy of the wrist and Anatomical snuff box. It was a fantastic opportunity to explore anatomy to a greater degree than is allowed during dissection in the Medicine course. It was also a great first segue into the world of surgical skills, having been taught basic suturing, surgical knots, and being allowed to practice on the department's Laparoscopic surgical skills trainer.
