During my internship, my role centered around exploring consumer behavior and generating innovative ideas to enhance the airport retail experience for L’Oréal. I worked on analyzing shopper patterns, identifying gaps in current strategies, and brainstorming new concepts like couple’s packs, inflight skincare kits, and interactive tech at counters to better engage travelers. I also participated in hands-on activities such as mystery shopping to observe real customer decision-making, and visited the R&I lab at NTU to understand the science behind product development. This unique blend of market insights and scientific exposure allowed me to connect the dots between consumer needs, brand storytelling, and the rigorous research that supports L’Oréal’s products.
