Over the last few years I have taken on building and designing our family home and being the primary carer for our young son. Taking on new skills, I designed the home including drawing plans and managing council DA to approval. I was very hands on in the construction phase including carpentry, plastering, concreting, joinery and tiling. During construction, our son Jack was born. I have been his primary carer over the past 4 1/2 years. He is off to school next year reducing my hands on involvement.
