South Asian women have the capability for leadership, yet remain overlooked or held back, often because they’ve never been taught visibility or self-advocacy. I saw this pattern repeatedly over 20 years working in HR. Women who were capable, driven, and already operating at a high level, but not always being recognised, promoted, or positioned accordingly. Not due to lack of ability. But lack of visibility. That’s what led me to found Asian Women Mean Business. My work focuses on helping South Asian women: ✨ become more visible without compromising who they are ✨ develop self-advocacy in professional spaces ✨ step into leadership with clarity and confidence This isn’t about becoming louder. It’s about being seen, heard, and recognised at the level you’re already operating at. What I’ve built and delivered: 🚀 Supported thousands of South Asian women to overcome self-doubt and step into leadership 🗻 Organised the first all-South Asian female group to summit Mount Kilimanjaro and produced a documentary about it called Mother Kili 📈 Designed and delivered high-impact programmes with 90%+ participant-reported transformation 🤝 Partnered with organisations to develop and elevate South Asian talent 📱 Built a learning and development platform tailored to South Asian women If you’re navigating this yourself, or looking to better support South Asian women in your organisation, I’m always open to a conversation.
