• Develop and implement the cost-driven sustainability roadmap; • Making sure targets are met by implementing improvement projects; • Build sustainable business case in investment projects (Capex) • Making the production processes (Opex) more sustainable through creating challenging standard running conditions and settings, implementing procedures and coaching production personnel; • Participate and lead multifunctional project teams;
• Define and coordinate the Nature program for Early Life Nutrition division; • In charge of energy, waste and water reduction program in 24 babyfood factories globally; • Share best practices in the network of factories and sales organization; • Implement the waste management program Benelux; • Facilitate benchmarks with other divisions in Danone.
Develop and implement an ambitious sustainability program (energy, waste, water, logistics, packaging) in the European Ben & Jerry's ice cream factory; • Project management of eco-efficiency improvement projects in the factory: A. Biodigester: from business case development (1Meur subsidy), projectdefinition, tendering, project management, commissioning in line with performance criteria to operator training of a innovative anaerobic treatment of ice cream waste and wastewater to biogas; B. GreEnergy: from project definition, tendering to commissioning of a “lean and green” heating utility with max use of biogas, process heat and NH3-heatpump (40% coverage energy use factory); C. Optimization NH3-cooling system: manage re-commissioning (data-analysis, screening and settings management of all installations) of a complex ammonia cooling system (-8% energy reduction); D. Waste reduction program: manage waste awareness program for employees, continuous improvement teams and project definition new waste recycling area (-30% waste reduction). • Project management of Unilever Benelux waste management contract: from initiation, tendering to implementation of new waste management service (Shanks) at 7DC’s, 5 factories, 3 offices en 1 R&D center; Lead cross category – cross country team (1Meur savings / year); • Alignment with Unilever´s Sustainability Living Plan and Ben & Jerry’s brand.
Build relationships with clients, translate client needs into project plans and all key project management duties in the foodindustry and -retail (e.g. Numico, Wessanen, CSM, Super de Boer) in sustainability consultancy: • Lead stakeholder management and dialogue workshops; • Develop the sustainability strategy for management team of food companies; • Target setting, developing and implementing sustainability programs; • Validate, consolidate and report global sustainability data; • Sustainability reporting and data benchmark management.
