I started my professional career as an accountant at the diversified industrial holding Ackermans & van Haaren ( BEL 20 listed on Euronext). Keeping the accounts from A to Z, declaring corporate tax, VAT and various ad hoc matters was a perfect basis for gaining the confidence of Ackermans & van Haaren after 10 years at the age of 33 to carry out the function of CFO in the subsidiary Van Laere during almost 22 years. Now it is time to move on and I look forward for new challenges and opportunities. Hard work , a strong business focus, analytical ability, soft skills and communication skills are equally solid and necessary foundations to be a full-fledged CFO and these are not empty words for me.
