Domestic Violence Advocate with experience in community-based outreach, resource referrals, and research. Established the Literacy Promotion Initiative at the Newport-Mesa Family Resource Center to increase literacy accessibility for young children in the Costa Mesa area. I am passionate about strengthening protective factors in communities, families, and individuals to counter the adverse effects of childhood, emotional, psychological, and other forms of trauma.
Worked as part of the Unidas por La Vida research team in Dr. Sorkin’s lab to study behavioral health education interventions aimed at helping low-income diabetic Latina women improve health outcomes.
