Responsible for the global development and realisation of large scale production assets that will produce the next generation of low carbon aviation fuels for Shell. Aviation does not have the same options as cars or ships to decarbonise, so the best way to reduce emissions for flying is to produce kerosene with much lower carbon intensity, based on bio-ethanol, bio-to-liquid and power to liquid technologies (until we have figured out to fly on hydrogen).
Responsible for developmentand, delivery of the global portfolio of clean hydrogen production assets for Shell, including Holland Hydrogen 1, RefHyne 1 and RefHyne 2, NortH2 and the GEO project in Oman.
Developing integrated value chains for hydrogen applications in Shell, connecting renewable power supply like offshore wind to industrial scale electrolysis and end-use in industry and mobility. Managing portfolio of concrete opportunities in North West Europe.
