Key Functions & Responsibilities: • Attendance of pre & post site/shutdown meetings. • Setup of component tree for CARAB software. • Generation of inspection scope of work (S.O.W.), boiler inspection diagram, list of detailed failures, scaffolding drawing, preliminary repair S.O.W. • Responsible for doing predictions on graphs in conjunction with site engineer to generate material required planning (budget/planned future S.O.W.) • Responsible for the general streamline & setup of the CARAB workgroup on site together with Eskom I.T. • Verify quality of inspections using the CARAB system as an aid. • Generation of repair S.O.W. during shutdowns in conjunction with site engineer. • Update of inspection and repair philosophies for inspections. • Updates of map drawings. • Provide training to the client and guidance to the Data Technician. • Setup of Sequel Server on site & CARAB Plant Care Folder (Creation, Backup, Restore & Update of Database on the site server & also on clients). • Data security (Responsible for Database & CARAB Plant Care Folder backups on regular basis whilst on site.) • Serve as the client liaison for queries & help.
