About

Namaskar, I am Pankaj I’m currently working as Process Integration Engineer at Centrothem International AG. I have keen interest in semiconductor physics, computational modelling and material characterization. I’ve conducted simulations using COMSOL Multiphysics and have interned at IISER Bhopal where I worked on resistivity modeling of thin films. My academic training includes advanced coursework in Electronics, Quantum Mechanics, Solid State Physics, Applied Optics & Optoelectronics, Nanotechnology, and Material Synthesis & Characterization. I am an amateur badminton and dance enthusiast. I also take interest in general science and climate action.

Working on ZnO based ohmic electrode for ion sensing. Work is being performed at Semiconductor Research Lab, ITER, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Sushant Kamilla. This is a work for my major project. Previously, I had done my minor project on computational modelling on Schottky diode.

Working in the field of Nanosciences and Nanoelectronics under the supervision of Dr. Kuntal Roy. My work basically involved understanding the physics behind the resistivity of bulk and thin film material through four-probe method. I had to also work on modelling those resistivity through COMSOL software. I had to also understand deeply as to how resistivity varies when the metal is few nanometer thick. I also got introduced to the use of graph theory and monte-carlo simulation to form ohmic-bridges that connects atomic clusters during their initial time of deposition. Since, this was my first actual research experience, I made a lot of mistakes. Key learning were scientific communication, literature survey and deep thinking necessary to be a good researcher. I am deeply thankful to Dr. Kuntal Roy for having given me such opportunity despite me having zero experience beforehand.
