Award-winning strategist with 15 years' experience helping brands answer a deceptively simple question: why should people choose you? My career has taken me from content and social, to publishing and media, to brand, communications and creative strategy. Along the way I've worked across everything from editorial and audience development to brand positioning, proposition development, creative platforms and communications strategy. I've helped organisations define and build new brands, reposition legacy brands, develop award-winning creative platforms and then take them to market. Today I lead Brand Advisory within Accenture Song, helping organisations define positions worth owning, bring new propositions to market and solve complex business challenges through strategy, creativity and a healthy dose of (un)common sense. While my deepest experience lies in financial services, wealth management and fintech, I've also worked across FMCG, alcohol, personal care and consumer brands.

In this role I was responsible for leading the integrated mix of brand and communication planning across new business and key clients within King James, later acquired by Accenture. I worked across numerous categories (including financial services, banking, entertainment & media, alcohol and beauty), led strategy on TymeBank for its first three years of existence (and won a Gold Effie for its launch), and led work awarded by Effies, Loeries, Bookmarks amongst others.
At Associated Media Publishing I was responsible for inspiring, leading and overseeing the creation and implementation of digital content across the AMP group (COSMO, Marie Claire, Good Housekeeping, Goeie Huishouding, House and Leisure and Women on Wheels). My focus was to push editorial excellence in digital, increase engagement, drive audience acquisition and encourage meaningful brand partnerships with our publications.
As a strategist at Ogilvy PR I developed comprehensive and successful digital creative campaign, social media, content and PR strategies for some of South Africa's biggest brands including Dove, Dove Men+Care, Skip, South African Breweries, Mondelez, H&M, Volkswagen and Gumtree.
At Quirk I specialised in numerous digital marketing disciplines, including digital content strategy, copywriting, campaign conceptualisation and reporting. I was the social media and content lead on high profile brands such as Savanna Cider, Three Ships Whisky, Bain’s Whisky, 4th Street Wine, Klipdrift and Caltex.
