At this role, I'm responsible for browse and search functionality for Tableau Server and Online. This includes user experience (UI features) as well as the backend API layer to power the functionality. In addition, my team owns the health, monitoring and alerting for the service container in production. This includes initial triage and diagnosis of incidents and facilitating conversations with neighboring teams to figure out the best mitigation in production.
I joined the Internet Explorer Team for the development of Internet Explorer 8. - Designed and implemented a complete end-to-end infrastructure for collecting, processing, aggregation and displaying crash and hang data for test-lab use and result reporting. This is currently used by various teams across Microsoft for defect analysis and reporting. - I owned reliability tennet for the Internet Explorer team for the entire product cycle for IE9. This covered stress, long-haul and memory decay testing. - Designed and implemented new tests for the reliability suite used by the team. In the past, I owned feature work/testing: - I owned several features for Internet Explorer 8 and 9. This included developing automated test cases, and ensuring the health of the features on the daily build and bugs found prior to shipping.
My duties included debugging test failures, fixing test scripts, and developing new test cases. Working on the Internet Explorer team gave me an opportunity to work on a product with a large market share and customer impact.
