    As a Marine Communications and Traffic Services Officer with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO), I am responsible for ensuring the safety of Canada's waterways and vessels by listening for distress and safety calls, monitoring marine traffic to prevent accidents, and ensuring that vessels comply with Canadian laws. I work on behalf of the Canadian Coast Guard to provide one of the first responses to vessels in distress. With vast knowledge of the waterways of the North Pacific coast, I am capable of multi-tasking and operating under stressful conditions.
