APAC Co-Lead Infrastructure Legal Affairs

About

I have exceptional skills and diverse experience having worked as a corporate/M&A lawyer in Australia and the UAE, as a technology lawyer in Singapore, as in-house counsel in the Regional Commercial Team at Microsoft and now supporting Microsoft in the biggest technological endeavour of our time - building and delivering the global infrastructure for cloud and AI which underpins many critical services in our economies and societies. My commerce degree and finance/accounting major, in addition to my law degree, allow me to deeply understand commercial and business drivers in executing our strategic deals. As a tech lawyer, I have helped clients with their everyday commercial contracts and advising them on laws that relate to their business and operations, such as data privacy, IP and licensing issues. I have also supported clients in executing transactions in the TMT industry, including technology collaboration and digital transformation agreements, towers/telcos deals and the TMT elements of M&A transactions. I now support Microsoft to build and lease data centres across Asia. Personally, I am passionate in contributing to our global efforts against the effects of climate change and am proud to work for a company that has ambitious environmental targets, including by being carbon negative, water positive and waste negative by 2030.
