Hello! I'm actually in the transition phase of my career where I’m going from accounting to consulting (pursuing a double degree)! I'm technically a 3rd/4th year student at the Ted Rogers School of Management. I have a passion with problem-solving and learning, which transfers into my interest in the fields of consulting and tech. Everything seemed to click when I landed an internship in high school at Think Accounting; at first, accounting simply was "a course that I was good at because I liked numbers." Over time, however, I thought accounting offered everything I had always craved: challenges to problem-solve, data analysis, and the ability to exercise my logical thinking, something I’ve been naturally inclined towards since I was young. For me, gaining and refining my skills in Microsoft Excel, Airtable and other accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Wagepoint, Karbon) felt like a natural progression, much as 5 year old Rose would be absorbed with math problems and puzzles.I thought that I had done quite a bit in high school with my extra-curriculars, being an executive on Student Council for all four years, as well as Model United Nations and other teams. Little did I know, it was only the start of my path with leadership, teamwork, and being detail-oriented. Coming into university I proved my past self wrong, as I pushed myself to grow more than I could ever imagine. Since the start of my university career, I have been active in extra-curriculars with multiple student positions and being awarded the 2023 TRSS "Froshee of the Year" due to the care and passion I have for everything I do. I wanted to put my best foot forward coming into university, as I want to make the most out of this life and there is nothing more that I enjoy than meeting new people and helping others.I have experiences rooted in leadership and an urge for problem-solving through case competitions. Some highlights are my roles as the School of Accounting and Finance (SAF) Director for Ted Rogers Student Society (TRSS) for the 2024-2025 school year, Co-Chair of Achieve at Toronto Met Accounting (TMA), and a Financial Accounting Intern at Ontario Health. These have played a key part in shaping not only my professional journey, but also in helping me learn more about myself as an individual. The ACHIEVE Case Conference is TMA’s largest annual accounting case competition. Established in 2009, ACHIEVE aims to bridge the gap between students and the accounting industry, specifically third and fourth-year students across Canada. ACHIEVE has been recognized as one of Canada’s leading accounting conferences that continues to expand every year. The two-day conference includes networking opportunities with industry professionals, interactive workshops and inspiring keynotes. ACHIEVE delegates are provided with the opportunity to create memorable experiences and discover their potential beyond the classroom
Previously was apart of the pilot project on TMA known as "Case Pool Team" from Oct 2023 - Jul 2024.
Represented all 1,300+ SAF students at the Ted Rogers School of Management, driving initiatives and discussions to advocate for over 13,000 students within the student body. Liaison Groups: Toronto Metropolitan Accounting (TMA), Ted Rogers Investment Council (TRIC), and Toronto Metropolitan Consulting Association (TMCA) Committees: Conference and Competitions (CCC); Student Group Funding Committee (SGFC); Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity (EDI); and Appeals.
