I am currently studying Biology (with placement year) at Lancaster University. Over the next few years, I aim to gain valuable experience and knowledge to aid future career in corporate sustainability. During first year I have had the opportunity to study modules focussed on: Cell biology Molecular biology Microbiology Genetics Biotechnology Experimental design and statistics Evolutionary biology Aquatic ecology Marine and estuarine biology Global change biology Biodiversity and conservation Skills in biosciences And a field trip to the Donana National Park- Spain
I worked at the practice over the summer assisting with vaccinations.I helped to mix the correct dosages, confirm the volume of the vaccine in the needle, complete paperwork and monitor patients. I learnt about confidentiality of patients and the capacity of different members of society. I also developed my empathetic skills when communicating with anxious patients to help them feel more comfortable whilst having their Covid-19 vaccination
