About

With 25 years of HR experience in multinational companies, I bring solid expertise in leadership, talent development, recruitment, training, and environmental health & safety (EHS), along with a strong background in ISO auditing (9001, 14001, 45001, 22000). I currently work as a Medical Office Assistant at Island Sexual Health in Victoria, BC, where I provide front-line support in a fast-paced and inclusive healthcare setting. I manage patient intake, documentation, and scheduling using MedAccess EMR, always maintaining high standards of professionalism and cultural sensitivity. Previously, I served as a Scheduler at The Salvation Army (Sunset Lodge), coordinating complex shift schedules for a 24/7 operation with 300+ unionized employees (HEU, BCNU, BCGEU), ensuring compliance with collective agreements and administrative protocols. I’m passionate about building inclusive workplaces and giving back to the community. I volunteer with ICA’s People & Culture team, supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion training initiatives. My volunteer experience at TAPS (Together Against Poverty Society) further enriched my understanding of Canadian workplace dynamics and community-focused HR practices. At Coca-Cola Brazil, I proudly led the implementation of Projeto Ampliar—an award-winning initiative that successfully integrated employees with disabilities into factory operations, later replicated across multiple units. My background also includes managing EHS programs, fostering strong safety cultures, and supporting employee well-being. I hold a Human Resource Management diploma from UVic and have completed a course on Indigenous Culture at the University of Alberta. As a CPHR BC & Yukon member, I’m currently preparing for my CPHR designation to deepen my contribution to the HR field in Canada. Core Competencies: ✅ EHS – Health & Safety ✅ Coaching & Team Development ✅ Recruitment & Training ✅ DISC Personality Profiling ✅ ISO Auditing (9001, 14001, 45001, 22000) ✅ HR Systems: SAP/R3, TOTVS, ADP ✅ HR Budget Management ✅ Microsoft Office Suite & Canva I’m fluent in Portuguese and English, and conversational in Spanish.
