Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy
Rosa is graduated in Physics with a thesis work on Artificial Intelligence applied to Medicine (automated detection and classification of micro-calcification in mammography) - INFN project. She got her PhD in 2004 with a work concerning the development of a new dosimeter for IORT (Intra Operative Radiation Therapy) - ENEA project. Since 2004 to 2011 she collaborated, as post-doc position, with the X-Ray Imaging Group by study and optimize the system and the reconstruction software for tomographic analysis of Cultural Heritage working both at Bologna University and at INFN of Turin, Italy. In 2011 she became technician at the Department of Physics and Astronomy (DIFA), University of Bologna. She has taught Physics and Chemistry for Restoration at the Fine Arts Academy of Bologna (Institute of Cultural Heritage Restoration) for seven years. She currently focuses her researches mainly on developing tomographic reconstruction algorithms with high performance computing. She collaborates since 1998 with the INFN, since 2012 with Enrico Fermi Center for Study and Research and since 2015 she is a member of TTLAB (INFN Laboratory for Technology Transfer) In 2008 Rosa received the award by the Italian Association for Archeometry (AIAR) for a young researcher who has distinguished himself in Archeometry Sciences. She is co-author of three patents: - "Method, and related devices, for automated microcalcifications detection in breast tissue", - "Dosimetric control system for ionising beam useable particularly for oncological therapies", - "Method for the interactive parallel processing of data on a cluster with the graphic input/output on a visualisation device". She is co-author of over 90 publications, 37 of them in international journals and 11 book chapters. Since 2015 she is responsible for the coordination of specialized laboratories and technical manager of the research unit laboratory of the Department of Physics and Astronomy (DIFA). In 2022 Rosa achieved the National Scientific qualification as associate in the Italian higher education system, in the call 2021/2023 (Ministerial Decree n. 553/2021 and 589/2021) for the disciplinary field of 02/D1 - Applied physics, physics teaching and history of physics. (Academic Recruitment Field 02/D - Applied physics, physics teaching and history of physics, according to the national classification).
