In charge of payroll delivery for LATAM countries and Canada
I joined Merck as HR Operations Manager in charge of Workforce and Payroll Team with 6 headcounts reporting directly to me, I have reporting line to Global HR Operations International Head. Responsible for the support of around 1300 'ee in Mexico, including 300 union 'ee. In charge of on-boarding, employee life-cycle, off-boarding processes and all payroll process. Also, I´ve the administration and execution of Merck Benefits as: Medical Insurance, Life Insurance, Funeral Expenses, Saving Fund, Grocery Vouchers, Saving box & Pension Plan HR Operations is supporting HR Organization under three pillar model. I have joined General Electric to implement Payroll and Benefits Enterprise Standard for LATIN AMERICA region including Brazil. I have been working across LATAM countries to gather requirements and understand the payroll processes according to each country legislation and GE benefits. • Define LATAM countries requirements for RFP purposes to change current payroll platforms in 27 countries • Choose correct vendor to migrate 22,000 employees in LATAM to BPO solution. • Define AS IS and determine the TO BE process through process simplification and automation opportunities with the objective to reduce manual inputs and map them to any of payroll 5 inputs channels to optimize process and increase accuracy and payment timeliness. • Implement Global Payroll Input Tool for special payments and deductions transactions in Andean, South Cone Region and Brazil. • Prepared business case BUY versus MAKE for new payroll solution, also defined timeline and USD 2.5 million budget • Implemented Global payroll data warehouse tool for reporting purposes in Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Andean Countries (Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela). • Prepared SII budget for RTS and payroll and benefits project portfolio for upcoming years • Track payroll and benefits metrics as payroll accuracy, payroll timeliness, inputs accuracy, inputs timeliness and payroll costs per employee per country.
