Committed to advancing police diplomacy, multilateral cooperation, and linking security with development and human rights. Held senior leadership roles within INTERPOL, the Italian Police, and Europol, and served as INTERPOL’s Special Representative to the United Nations and, currently, as Special Representative to the European Union. First woman to hold multiple senior posts at INTERPOL in the past 20 years. INTERPOL Special Representative to the European Union (Brussels) – since August 2025 Leads INTERPOL’s strategic engagement with EU institutions and agencies, fosters partnerships, develops joint initiatives on security priorities, promotes the use of INTERPOL’s capabilities, and oversees the Brussels office. Previous INTERPOL Roles • Special Representative to the United Nations (New York & Vienna): Chief diplomatic liaison to the UN; built partnerships with agencies, Member States, and regional organizations to address global security threats such as terrorism, cybercrime, organized crime,environmental crime. • Acting Executive Director, Partnerships & Planning: Oversaw global partnerships and strategic planning; supervised Representative Offices to the UN, AU, and EU. • Director, Global Outreach: Expanded INTERPOL’s presence in Africa, Asia, and the Americas; strengthened ties with Afripol, Europol, Ameripol, and CARICOM. • Director, Organized & Emerging Crime: Led programs on illicit trafficking of drugs, human beings, cultural property, child exploitation, and environmental crime. • Director of Cabinet: Senior advisor on policy, diplomacy, and inter-agency coordination. Other Experience • Europol: Head of Relations with non-EU partners. • Italian State Police: Senior leadership roles; promoted to Brigadier General.
