- overseeing preparation and lodgement of circa. 300 SMSF returns, including review and training of team members - making resourcing decisions to ensure sufficient capacity - presenting year end reports to clients with PowerPoint presentations developed in-house - building a new SMSF division - winning new business through advisory related services and collaboration with key stakeholders in the network - regular articles and publications to promote services and share knowledge with client base - prepare and analyse divisional profit and loss
- preparation of financials and lodgement of annual returns for Self Managed Super Funds (SMSFs) - actioning advice for fund establishment, managing ABN/TFN/GST registrations, reporting fund setup and any changes to the ATO & ASIC - managing compliance for over 200 SMSFs, ensuring the annual returns are lodged by their respective due dates and organising lodgement extensions as required - ensuring other reporting obligations such as Transfer Balance Account Reports, Instalment Activity Statements and Business Activity Statements are met - management of BGL 360 licenses including bank feeds and contract notes and creating opportunities for process improvements - updating and improving internal work papers and tailored letters to clients -factual advice to clients on contribution limits, minimum pension requirements, opportunities to utilise tax offsets, conditions of release and pension commencement, holding real estate (including through geared and non-geared trusts), investment requirements for more complex investments including: cryptocurrency, unit trusts, collectables and personal use assets; - assist with fund rollovers through superstream and windups - management and review of annual accounts and workpapers prepared by junior staff and contractors -technical articles for newsletters, and providing training on superannuation updates - liaising with auditors, actuaries, financial planners and other stakeholders and maintaining good working relationships
- prepare accounts and tax returns for 80 -90 SMSFs using BGL desktop & BGL 360 - assist with preparing related company / trust / partnership Account and tax returns for the group using MYOB - meet with clients to discuss financials and planning opportunities / action points - prepare Statement of Advice through XPlan for pension commencements - review and advise on minimum repayments for Div7a loans - prepare GST Reconciliations and advise of any adjustments for next BAS/IAS - developing internal work papers and letters - assist with preparing technical content for newsletters - liaise with auditors, planners and external parties to assist with completing compliance tasks
