My name is Ron Nolte and I enable innovation. I am a healthcare information technology executive with 15 years of experience in governance, strategic project development/delivery, vendor/partner management, team management, and mentorship in organizations ranging from $125 million to $1.5 billion in annual revenue. I have led teams in vendor/partner organizations, information technology divisions of healthcare delivery organizations, and software development companies. I create teams that enable meaningful innovation addressing strategic business goals. I do this by structuring leadership and team culture willing to challenge the status quo and take balanced risks on new ideas. ⋙ At Luminis Health I provided executive IT leadership for the integration of Doctor’s Community Medical Center and Anne Arundel Medical Center that included application, data center, and business level thought leadership. I went on to sponsor and lead an Epic Refuel project centered around increasing clinical and IT staff efficiency through simplification and innovation of established processes. ⋙ At vCORE Technology Partners (now a part of AHEAD), I led the organization’s healthcare solutions and solution development for numerous non-healthcare strategic accounts including productization of services, risk management, OEM engagement, and service delivery oversight. ⋙ At Bluetree (now Tegria) and Nordic Consulting, I provided thought leadership and deep Epic expertise in core technology, application, and complex project delivery to the largest municipal health system in the US as well as regional health systems in the Midwest and Southwest of the United States.
I led and defined the clinical application strategy for Luminis Health. Under my leadership we innovated and simplified numerous application workflows, streamlined/modernized internal processes, matured our governance model, and enabled the creation of Luminis Health system through technology. ➛ My teams and I brought strategic solutions to difficult business problems. ➛ I successfully led the migration to SaaS for services such as radiology image archives and radiology imaging services functions. ➛ I engaged with external partners to develop customized solutions for staffing challenges using novel pricing mechanisms. This was achieved through close collaboration with peers in the clinical and business areas. ➛ I educated myself and leadership team on the strategic needs of these functions and enabled them to develop solutions that utilized their tactical understandings. ➛ My team and I were able to move quickly and effectively due to a strong understanding of my strategic vision and the empowerment of the teams themselves to solve the problems.
I spearheaded the technology integration of Anne Arundel Medical Center and Doctor’s Community hospital to create the Luminis Health system during the COVID-19 pandemic. ➛ I developed partnerships within the clinical and revenue cycle departments that enabled my teams and I to instigate and enable system level approaches to a variety of problems. ➛ I matured the technology governance platform and structure to enable direct business feedback and prioritization of technology initiatives. ➛ I managed the technology response for COVID-19 at Luminis Health. This included rapid scaling up of our virtual patient program, enablement of over 400 employees to work from home, implementation of clinical support and reporting solutions for the pandemic, and enablement of state/local COVID-19 vaccination partnership sites. ➛ I also had the privilege of serving as the interim Chief Information Officer for six months while our previous CIO transitioned from the organization.
