Lead the planning and execution of audits for commercial (manufacturing, financial services. software), real estate (construction, property management, LIHTC, mortgage lenders), and employee benefit plans (EBPs). I manage planning, fieldwork, and reporting in alignment with GAAS, PCAOB, GAGAS, HUD, DOL and ERISA requirements. Oversee engagement teams, review workpapers, evaluate internal controls, execute audit procedures, and ensure timely & accurate financial statement delivery.
As the sole corporate recruiter for the 160-person support center, I managed hiring at all levels, ranging from front desk roles to VP positions. During my tenure, recruited & hired approx. 30% of total corporate headcount. Occasionally, I would assist in recruiting restaurant managers and district managers. I also assisted HR projects like compensation benchmarking and developing competency-based job descriptions to strengthen our recruitment processes. From January 2021 - June 2021, employed with Vaco, a recruitment agency, where I specialized in recruiting accountants. Vaco placed me with their client, El Pollo Loco, in July 2021.
As the primary Compliance Audit Analyst on the risk assessment team at EPS Financial (purchased by MetaBank, now Pathward), I transitioned from a temporary call center role into a role where I led compliance audits under to comply with BSA, AML, and OFAC requirements. I facilitated the compliance auditing process, reviewed suspicious activity reports, and provided weekly compliance training to support the team's risk management efforts.
