Investigating neural radiance fields for documenting climate change impacts and vulnerable heritage sites.
• Conduct original ethnographic fieldwork in Tibetan village Lubra to understand cultural impacts of climate-induced Himalayan flooding. • 3D map flood damages using remote sensing (drones, satellite imagery, photogrammetry, DEMs, and monocular depth estimation). • Layer digital 3D visuals of flood damages, vulnerable structures, and agricultural terrain with ethnographic data to place them within a cultural context. • Contribute a data-based report that the community may use to inform governmental policies and request relief aid, especially when interfacing with community leaders, policymakers, and NGOs. • Plan and lead expeditions to Lower Mustang, Nepal. • Lead collaboration meetings with professors and leading engineers.
