Extensive experience as entrepreneur (10 years), operations manager, as engagement manager at Kaizen Institute (10 years), and now Facilicom Group, with a focus on process improvement, operational performance, cultural change, training and coaching. Experience in manufacturing (consumer goods, machine builders), project industry (NPI, project furnishing), healthcare (elderly care, general practice, and addiction care), government (infra, immigration) and service industry. Collaboration with the manufacturing industry and high-tech companies, like ASML as well as SMEs, has resulted in significant operational improvements and capacity growth. The breakthroughs achieved demonstrate the power of Lean and Kaizen and the focus on operational excellence and value stream optimization, everyone, every day, everywhere, in any industry. Personal drive for designing, and building systems that operate under demanding conditions. Passionate about knowledge transfer and stimulating paradigm shifts, and then actually applying them immediately, hands-on. Half of my time, I help cross-functional teams see paradigm shifts. The team then gains insight into the entire value stream from grain to brick, or a part of that, within a few weeks, identifying double-digit improvement potential for lead time, productivity, efficiency, and/or quality. I help them turn this insight into an immediately executable plan, supported across the silos, with a substantiated business case. Such a plan involves executing sub-projects in 4-month sprints that realize the identified potential, but secured in new working methods, supported by visual management of operations, where deviations, waste, and growth opportunities are immediately visible to the team. This prevents old working methods from returning unnoticed. The other half of my work is training and coaching, which began during my studies as a math teacher for high school students: coaching leaders and their teams in establishing a culture of continuous improvement and training Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belts. Thus, as a catalyst for change, developing lean management systems as the backbone for double-digit improvements. With commitment to authentic kaizen, enabling teams to exceed their operational KPIs and foster a culture of continuous improvement that resonates throughout the organization. #kaizen #lean #breakthrough #flow
Cura Packaging has a strong drive to implement a culture of continuous improvement and improve their processes. The approach is to first do a value stream analysis (VSA) with the site team, which results in a cross-functionally supported plan with sub-projects to be carried out. An important one in this is to visualize operational management in the teams, build performance dialogues and thus to grow continuous improvement as a system, including sustaining of new methods to be developed from the other projects in the plan. The VSA has been done and the resulting plan is now in execution.
