Security design exemplifies the intersection of technology and design. This intersection essentially emphasizes: Usability: Making complex technology usable - cash as an all inclusive commodity and artifact Simplicity: Creating unambiguous visual communication and security that supports the intrinsic value of cash Proficiency: Integrating technology seamlessly into a user-centered design concept. I view every project as an opportunity to demonstrate how technical capabilities and human needs can be combined into an artifact that aims to be both obviously explicit and extremely sophisticated. My track record is rooted in security document design and more particularly in currency design ; e.g. visual concept development, elaboration of functional layout for origination and managing intaglio integration into layouts. In the past I have also traveled extensively as an instructor for Computer-aided Security Document Design (for offset and intaglio workflows) using industry specific software (both on site and on the customer side) ; and have experience as a visual communication tutor for University students (School of Architecture, University of Adelaide, SA). Key words: Art Direction, Visual Communication, Graphic Design, Security Document, Banknote Design, Design Project Management, Taxonomic Frameworks, Design Thinking, Design Coordination, Design Ideation, Origination Design, Intaglio Design, Customer service
