I work at the intersection of energy markets, finance, and the energy transition — as a researcher, a former operator, and an active advisor. As Professor of Sustainable Energy Finance at Erasmus School of Economics, my research covers renewable energy asset valuation, carbon markets, energy price risk, and the financing of the energy transition. I have 50+ publications and 4,000+ citations according to Google Scholar. I co-founded and built Energy Global, an energy portfolio management company, which was subsequently acquired by a private equity firm. I have advised on three M&A transactions, supported several more, helped companies attract bank financing, and advised multiple energy startups from early stage through growth. I am available for advisory mandates, supervisory board (RvC) roles, expert witness assignments, and due diligence support. If you are working on a challenge at the intersection of energy and finance, I would be glad to connect.
