Achievements when working in The Salvation Army Recycling Programme (Apr 2007 – Jul 2019): - Retail sales revenue increased by around 3 times - Introduced house brand products in view of business sustainability and wide product variety, including Bamboo Tissues and Upcycled Blankets - Successfully applied Recycling Fund to enhance the development of the Programme - Restructured the department to capture opportunities and strengthen operations - Launched ERP system to improve inventory control and setup central procurement -Number of Family Stores increased from 11 to be 14 - Set up a team for Sorting and Pricing to assure the professionalism, pricing consistency and integrity - Revamped the old renovated stores and replaced the stores with marginal performance. It boosted up store sales, stimulated more collection of in-kind donation and raised the public’s awareness of TSA Family Store & TSA Recycling Programme - Family Store was the winner of Operational Excellence – Social Enterprise Award Scheme 2013. The Scheme is organized by Home Affairs Bureau and Social Enterprise Advisory Committee. Dec 2014 – Jul 2019 Senior Manager - Report to Director - Oversee all business operations, including Sales, Marketing, Warehouse, Logistics, HR and Administration, in HK and Macao - Involve 17 Family Stores, 2 collection centers, two 20,000-sf office and warehouses in HK and one 6,000 sf warehouse in Macao, seven 9-tonne trucks, and three vans - Formulate directions, proposals and budgets to develop effective initiatives for the development and expansion of Recycling Programme - Monitor, evaluate and measure both individual and team KPIs of the Programme - Constantly monitor integrity of the team as well as the operation as a whole to ensure interest of the Army and the donors to be protected Apr 2007– Nov 2014 Retail Manager - Report to Chief Operations Officer - Lead a team of over 70 colleagues, manage all store operations, sorting and pricing team, and collection centres - Supervise and guide staff towards maximum performance in view of sales revenue and customer services - Prepare and be responsible for stores’ sales budget aiming for minimum expenditure and maximum efficiency - Monitor stock allocation, retail pricing, stock replenishment to stores and stock turnover - Deal with complaints from customers - Organize training, coaching and internship programme, and fix staff development plan - Assure health and safety of all colleagues and customers in Family Stores - Plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays - Keep abreast of market trends to determine the need for improvements in the store - Analyze sales and revenue reports and make forecasts
